Work Experience

 

Sean has been involved in the construction of plants in the Energy Infrastructure Sector since 1991, working with EPC contractors and clients in various capacities to ensure a successful outcome to project construction issues.

Experience in the industry includes projects in the fields of Power Generation, Oil &Gas, Cement and Steel plant construction and maintenance. He has worked worldwide on projects on both project construction engineering issues and contract interpretation and contract law issues including claims management, claim defense preparation and final accounts preparation and negotiation.

He has managed business units and projects in excess of $100 Million USD annual revenue. He has been responsible for all aspects of the project cycle including commercial management, operations and final accounts.

Experience includes onsite engineering roles on power plant construction projects in Kuwait, Egypt, Thailand, Korea, Indonesia, Uruguay, Venezuela, El Salvador, Caribbean, USA, Canada and UK.

Management level roles include having managed projects and project services in numerous countries such as Russia, Pakistan, Israel, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Cyprus, Spain, Italy, UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Greece.

He has experience in project construction with major EPC companies from US, Canada, China, Turkey, Spain and Italy.

As well as holding a Bachelors of Mechanical Engineering Degree Sean holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Construction Law . He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb) , pending a peer level interview to be accepted as a Fellow (FCIArb). He has a special interest in the use of Dispute  Review and Dispute Adjudication Boards in project execution.
